The asthenosphere is the third and 11th layer of the Earth in Dig2China, composed of light maroon rock. It is denser than the lithosphere, and about as dense as the outer core.

The obstacles in the asthenosphere include giant wood logs, giant dark gray rocks, and giant shark's teeth. The layer's first appearance starts at around 660 meters deep.
